Welcome to Oconee County, South Carolina!

The hardest decision around here is how to spend a day and not for a scarcity of choices but for the plentiful fun choices!  Lakes? We got 'em.  Mountains? Yup.  Got 'em.  Shopping? Oh yeah.  Dining? Yup, even sushi and green curry.  I love South Carolina and I really love the upstate....I believe Seneca is housed in the hidden gem of the upstate--Oconee County.  Great hiking, gorgeous lakes, friendly people and a easy way of life.  You know what slowed me down on my commute to work today?  COWS.  I'll take that any day over 8 lanes of traffic driving like maniacs.  Of course, I also had a paddleboard on top of my car for a little "time at the gym" after work.  That's life here in Oconee.  Come visit, or better yet, come move here.  You won't regret it. 

Seneca is surrounded by lakes and mountains. Lake Keowee, Lake Hartwell and Lake Jocasee are all nearby. Our lakes make for a fun day whether it be fishing, boating, kayaking, or my preference, stand up paddle boarding! The mountains host bountiful hiking and numerous waterfalls.
